Mount Titlis Tickets and Prices

Every way up Titlis ends on the same cable cars from Engelberg. Here is what that ride costs in 2026, which passes cut it, and what the Mount Titlis guided tours add on top.

What a Titlis ticket costs

You are buying a cable car ride, not an entry ticket. The return from Engelberg to the summit station at 3,020 metres costs CHF 102 for an adult. It takes you up through Trübsee and Stand and brings you back down the same way. The cableway's winter fare table shows the same CHF 102 return.

Children aged 6 to 15 pay half, CHF 51. Children under 6 ride free, and so does a child with a Junior Card travelling with a parent. You can also buy a single section if you plan to walk part of the way.

The Ice Flyer is the one ride at the top with its own fare. It is a chairlift from the summit station out over the crevasses to the snow park.

Passes that cut the fare

Only one pass makes Titlis free: the Lucerne Travel Pass. The Swiss Travel Pass halves the fare, and so do the Half Fare Card and the GA Travelcard. If you hold any of these, you pay CHF 51 for the return, not CHF 102.

The discount does not reach everything. On the cableway's winter fare table, the 50% cut does not apply to the Ice Flyer, so you still pay CHF 12 for it. Staying in Engelberg? Your hotel's guest card takes 10% off.

What the ticket covers at the top

Once you reach the summit station, most of the mountain is free. Your cable car ticket lets you into:

• The Titlis Cliff Walk, the suspension bridge beside the station. Using it is free.
• The Titlis Glacier Cave, reached by lift from inside the station. The visit is free.
• The terrace and the snowfield around the station.
• Trübsee on the way down: get off the gondola and walk round the lake.

Two things cost extra: the Ice Flyer at CHF 12, and the TITLIS Horizon deck in the new tower, which the tour operators list at CHF 18 for an adult and CHF 9 for a child, paid on the spot.

The ticket bought through a tour vs at the counter

A tour costs more than the cable car because it adds the parts you would arrange yourself. Here is what you get for the difference. The online ticket includes the Ice Flyer, so on its own it is close to the counter fare plus the chairlift.

The private day whose fare leaves it out

The other private days from Zurich include the ride up and back, so compare fares with the cable car added before you choose.

Buying at the valley station

You can buy at the counter in Engelberg on the day. At busy times the box office has a queue of its own, which a ticket bought ahead lets you walk past. You still wait for the gondola with everyone else, so take the first car at 08:30 if you can.

Driving? The valley station car park costs CHF 5 per car per day. The last ride up leaves at 16:00, and the last one down at 17:00.
